Winter Day of Reflection:
An Examen of Your Life, Your Love and Voices of Fiction

Saturday, January 30

9 am-3 pm PST

Online via Zoom

Presenter: Kelli Martin

Please register by Wednesday, January 27. Early Bird rates end December 31.

About this program

Our lives are filled with busyness (my mother calls it "rippin' and runnin'") and many, many voices. This blesses and inspires us, and tires and challenges us. On this retreat, let us pause to shift away from that noise-filled way of being, and sink into another way – where we consider how the voice of the Holy Spirit was present in our lives and communities over the year. Through the movements of the Examen prayer paired with memorable selections from popular fiction, we will reflect on our experiences, what stirred our hearts and grow in awareness of God’s voice and love for us we anticipate a new year.

This retreat includes brief presentations leading you through movements of the Examen, ways to pray, reflecting on selections from popular novels, abundant time for personal reflection and journaling, prompts to consider what God may desire (and dream!) for you, a small group conversation at the end of the day, and the option of brief autobiographical storytelling – all created to be present with you and support you wherever you are in your spiritual journey.

This program is for anyone who is interested in Ignatian spirituality (either little, some, or a lot of experience) and who has a desire to put into practice Ignatian tools for reflection.

You will receive a Zoom meeting link at registration. Please note that the time listed is Pacific Standard Time (PST). All are welcome!
