Volunteer with the ISC

Lend a Hand, Make an Impact

As the Ignatian Spirituality Center grows, we recognize the important role volunteers can play in extending our mission. Volunteers bring energy, creativity, and care that expand what our small staff can accomplish on their own. By offering their time and talents, volunteers will help us create welcoming spaces, strengthen programs, and make a greater impact in the lives of those we serve.

We are building a more formal volunteer program this year and invite you to consider how you might get involved. Opportunities range from one-time commitments to ongoing roles, including coordinating volunteers, welcoming participants, assisting with communications, and more. If you feel called to share your gifts in this way, we’d love to hear from you. Together, we can nurture compassion, healing, and justice in our community.

Volunteer Opportunities

Below are summaries of the areas with the greatest volunteer need. Our registration form has more detailed options for you to choose from. Thank you for considering volunteering with the ISC!

Volunteer Coordinator

Serve as the main point of contact for ISC volunteers. Welcome and support new volunteers, match their gifts with meaningful opportunities, coordinate schedules and communications, and ensure they feel connected and appreciated.

Marketing

Use your creative skills to help ISC share its story. Projects may include graphic design for newsletters, reports, and event materials; writing impact stories; preparing and analyzing email communications; and managing social media posts and engagement.

Data

Help ISC maintain accurate and effective records by entering information into our Bloomerang database and creating reports. Your work ensures strong communication with donors, participants, and friends of the ISC.

Programs

Support ISC retreats and events with both behind-the-scenes and on-site help. Tasks may include event set-up, registration, meal prep, and clean-up, as well as supply management, online program support, and presenter surveys. Volunteers in this area receive free access to the programs they support.

Video

Bring ISC’s mission to life through video. Edit recordings from programs, support live-streaming, create engaging social media clips, and collaborate on special video projects for our website and events.

Photography

Capture the spirit of ISC through photos. Document programs, retreats, and special events, provide photography for our Hearts on Fire Benefit Dinner, and help update staff photos.

Operations

Provide vital behind-the-scenes support to keep ISC running smoothly. Help troubleshoot IT issues and assist with implementing a cloud-based file storage system.

Fundraising

Play a key role in advancing ISC’s mission by supporting development efforts. Tasks include preparing acknowledgement letters and assisting with the Hearts on Fire Benefit Dinner through committee work, decorations, setup, and other event needs.
