ABOUT THIS PROGRAM

"The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice." – Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

As faith-oriented social justice practitioners and service providers, burn out can be real. We need pause – to restore our energy, reflect on our impact, and reinvigorate our spirits for the work ahead. Yet, we are ever on call and ever answering the call to meet needs.

How do we then sustain our work for the long haul? What practices can we glean from and set into motion to help sustain us when we begin to feel the pressure?

Come and be renewed in your commitment to social justice work in this half-day retreat. Rooted in Ignatian and contemplative praxis, together we will explore the purpose of rest within resistance, celebrate the joy of this work, and inspire the days ahead.

Snacks, a simple lunch, and beverages will be provided. Free parking is available.
