ABOUT THIS PROGRAM
Listening Hearts Community Circles are a space for like-hearted seekers to come together and enjoy fellowship, spiritual growth, and community in an Ignatian spirit. These communities will gather four times over the program year to share, learn, and pray through common experience and be part of a beloved community of belonging. Listening Hearts Community Circles are facilitated by an Ignatian community member, and include opportunities for mindful sharing and listening, learning and trying out Ignatian practices, as well as creating space for joy in community.
Our first Listening Hearts Community Circle will be held for LGBTQ+ folx only. This small group is an affinity space for those who identify as LGBTQ+ and are interested in sharing an affirming and caring space. To our LGBTQ+ allies, please join us in spirit, as you pray for our sacred queer community. Snacks and coffee/tea will be provided.
Do you have questions or are you interested in starting a Listening Hearts Community Circle? Please contact Maria Ochoa Vazquez, ISC Program Manager, with any questions.

about the presenter
Tony Hansen is a solution-focused psychotherapist working in both community agency and private practice, and accompanies adults facing depression, anxiety, and substance use challenges. He is also involved with Outreach (an LGBTQ Catholic ministry founded by Fr. James Martin, S.J.), which works to foster a Church where LGBTQ Catholics feel welcomed, valued, and able to belong. He recently attended the Outreach Jubilee Pilgrimage to Rome in September 2025 which provided space for prayer, reflection and community building for so many LGBT Catholics around the world. Tony also served as a panelist at the Outreach Conference in Washington, DC, on LGBTQ Catholics and Health.
Tony is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Seattle University. The Ignatian Spirituality Center has been an important place of spiritual renewal for him, and he is honored to facilitate and participate in this sharing experience for the LGBTQ Community.
