ABOUT THIS PROGRAM

Spring is a time for cultivating, inside and out. All around us is a generative life force that enables us to grow those desires which live deeply within us. As part of God’s creation, we are called to co-create a world that reflects God’s love, care and compassion. This, in a time when the environment and our relationship with it, as well as one another as a human family, is most strained. Engaging with nature gives us the energy and inspiration to heal holistically and live with purpose and meaning.

Come and join facilitators Peach Jack and Maria Ochoa Vazquez for an afternoon together as we explore the seasons of possibility that exist within you. We will enjoy a contemplative stroll through the Bellevue Botanical Gardens and take time to ponder on these ideas through reflection, art-making, and community conversation. Peach will guide us using her experience as a horticultural therapist, garden designer, and grief recovery specialist. She will be accompanied by Maria, who is an Ignatian spiritual director, gardener, and artist. Together they will facilitate a day filled with encounters, curiosity and creativity!

This program is geared towards adults of all ages, 20 and older please. An openness to using Ignatian Spirituality, as well as other contemplative and therapeutic practices, is welcomed! Snacks and beverages will be provided. Free parking available. Parking lot and pathways around buildings are paved. The majority of main Garden pathways are covered with 3/8 minus gravel, which is an ADA-compliant material. Some of the trails within the Garden are sloped. Visit https://bellevuebotanical.org/faq-2/ to access a Trail & Accessibility Guide for more information.
