CARLA ERICKSON ORLANDO

Spiritual Direction Services

Carla coordinates the Spiritual Direction Services for ISC and assists persons interested in connecting with a spiritual director through our Spiritual Direction Connections program. She serves as a spiritual director in the Spiritual Exercises in Everyday Life retreat and the Jesuit Restorative Justice Initiative. Carla teaches and serves as a Vocational Discernment Counselor at Seattle Pacific University and coach for students in the School of Theology and Ministry at Seattle University. She is also on the summer faculty at the Grunewald Guild in Plain, WA. Carla has served as an ISC Board member and as a presenter for a number of ISC programs in the past. She enjoys art, writing, the beauty of the Pacific Northwest, and life with her husband, Joe, and their college-age daughters, Sophia and Josephine.

Corinne developed her love of Ignatian spirituality and was introduced to the ISC during her nine years working at Seattle University, most recently as Director of Marketing. Corinne served three years on the ISC Program Council and on the ISC Board. While she’s participated in numerous ISC offerings, her favorite is the summer 3-day silent retreat. As a rare Seattle native, she loves the beauty of the Pacific Northwest water and mountains. Her best-loved role is mom to her three children, and she cherishes time with family and friends.

As our Administrative and Financial Assistant, Katharine cares for the practical needs of the ISC. She maintains our financial records, manages our databases and helps our staff to achieve their goals.

MARIA OCHOA Vazquez

Maria leads program development for the ISC, helping to bring alive the practices of Ignatian spirituality for seekers of all types. For the last 16 years, Maria has served in many roles focused on providing spiritual formation and leadership development in the Ignatian tradition through programs, retreats, and spiritual direction, including Assistant Director for the Magis Alumni Ministry at Seattle University, and Regional Coordinator of the Contemplative Leaders in Action (CLA) program in Seattle. Maria is a graduate of Gonzaga University with bachelors degree in Art, and holds a Masters in Transforming Spirituality from the School of Theology & Ministry at Seattle University. She is a bicultural/bilingual Mexican immigrant who is an artist and creative, gardener, wife, and mother.

David coordinates the print and online communications efforts promoting ISC’s programs and events. He holds a Masters in Interdisciplinary Christian Studies from Regent College, University of British Columbia. He writes and publishes short stories and essays in his spare time, and loves to hear stories of transformation from those impacted by Ignatian spirituality and ISC’s programs.
