Programs
We offer
programs designed to deepen spiritual growth and nurture ministry,
presented with ecumenical and interfaith outreach. With inspiration
from the Spirit, the Center seeks to find a variety of ways to respond
to the increased yearning for spiritual growth in today's society.
With the many gifts and resources available through the Center, we
are able to offer:
Spiritual
Enrichment for Young Adults (SEYA): The
Center is engaged in searching out ways to connect with young adults
and to identify their spiritual needs. We are committed to exploring
and creating avenues to educate, empower, and promote an active
faith life within the young adult community. Our core program is
Spirituality On Tap, a monthly evening gathering at local parishes
where young adults address topics of faith and culture, and learn a new prayer style from out of the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius.
See events page for Spirituality on Tap in both King and Pierce Counties.
Spiritual Direction: We offer spiritual direction
connections services by matching individuals with a qualified spiritual
director of their faith preference, a companion on their spiritual
journey to help them recognize God's presence in their life.

more information about this service.
Continuing Education for Spiritual Directors: We provide at least one workshop annually for the ongoing development of spiritual directors in our Resource Pool. It is open to other spiritual directors, graduate students, and persons in ministry as well. Twice a year, we gather the center's spiritual director Resource Pool to network, evaluate current service, and support each other in this ministry.
Retreats: The Ignatian Spirituality Center supports
a wide range of retreats for parishes, schools, institutions, and
other groups. We offer a rich set of spiritual resources adapted
from the work of St. Ignatius of Loyola, founder of the Jesuits.
One such retreat is the St. Francis Xavier Evening Retreat hosted
annually in early December to prepare individuals for the Christmas
season in the spirit of Ignatian spirituality.

We
accomplish these activities while continuing to embody a special concern
for the poor and to also promote living out one's faith commitment
to work for justice and peace.
